Is it just me or has everyone been desensitized by politics?

Nobody really cares about this stuff anymore...

Even the hype of the last election wasn't up to a quarter of the one in 2008.

Everything was like an event 5 yrs ago

I think people are now used to all the turmoil and all the bytching, complaining, whining everyday is not really changing anything.

Fox News has lost a lot of ratings and is pretty much garbage.

CNN has turned into celeb tabloid trash...

MSNBC keeps on pretending that they aren't racist like the other two...

Bill Maher show really sucks, nobody cares anymore...

I think people just are just fed up, it feels like nothing is going to change or improve...

It's because in the end, all the talking and whining doesn't get anything done, the rich will have their way regardless. Even when people vote, that shyt doesn't matter at all, the Govt. about to throw the peoples voices in the bushes in Colorado/Washington.

And the fact that at the end of the day they're all politicians. And we've accepted the corrupt nature of politicians a long time ago. "Oh that's just politics". The internet is forcing some slight changes in the way of direct communication with them, though. Kind of like a national oversight committee.

Then there are the people who are apathetic. Reasonable people who could actually have a voice and change things, they simply don't care more than crazy people with a blog or crazy people who run for office. There are people out there who go to do something and then they hear a voice in their head saying they couldn't actually change anything and just end up content with the status quo. They'll maybe end up making a facebook status about it once or twice because that's easier than getting out and doing things.

True... True...

No matter how many times you bytch and complain, nothing is going to change.

The good ol' days of $1/gallon of gas etc is pretty much OVER... :noah: We either accept it or just die...

There will NEVER be a revolution like other countries because we are just too COMFORTABLE and being deceived by showing off all these new flashy tech gadgets, the internet, celebrities etc.
