I know a woman who doesn't listen to any other rapper but Pac. She can recite Hit Em Up from start to finish. Loves Pac but doesn't f with anyone else.

I don't know any Em fans like that but it wouldn't surprise me.

There are TONS of Em fans like that, I would say even MORE SO than 2pac only fans

You can understand the rationale, even if you disagree with it. 2pac and Em are considered ATG in the rap game, and a lot of their exclusive fans think 99.9% of all other rap is garbage. Why listen to the rest when you can listen to the best? I'm more familiar with the Em only fans because they tend to be racists who hate all forms of rap except the rap that comes from the white boy.

(1) Your point is valid, and that's exactly what I was thinking when I made thread...These two rappers have exposed themselves in strength and weakness to their fan base...Some 2Pac and Eminem fans just feel like they can't get any better outside these two, so why even bother...

My best friend who only listens to 2Pac till this day (as far as Rap Music), tells me it is because he feels like "other rappers are just childish"...

(2) I think 2Pac was the first rapper to be 2Pac and not just a "character" through which to express ideas and emotions...Other rappers did talk about the same relevant topics, but they did it behind characters, or a third party observational perspective...

2Pac talked about real ghetto stories, in a real way, no need for fancy metaphors that take years to make sense...He wanted to have an immediate impact...And boy, was he successful...

Eminem learned well from the master...Nobody gave a rat's asss about "Infinite"...

Right, vulnerability. It's honestly the most beautiful thing about human beings IMO.

You didn't get a lot of that before 2pac, not in a way that made me feel like I wasn't by myself in the world.

Listening to infinite can really help you separate the personalities in Em's music because you see that he had spent all that time learning how to rap, just to be a rapper...not to say he wasn't drawing on real things, never 2 far is a real song but he wasn't digging deep enough, he was still hiding behind the confidence and the stage name, thank god nobody payed attention then because he probably would have never truly been pushed to find himself had it come that easy.

if they were racists they wouldnt have accepted D12, or proof on stage as marshalls right hand man. they wouldve passed on that silly caucasian hanging out with africans and jamaicans.
so i think your statement is foolish.

"I'm not racist, but... I have lots of black friends"

Racists don't operate the way you're suggesting. It's not that simple not at all, I really don't think you're trying to say racist white people would simply dismiss Eminem because of D12 because that makes no sense. They won't bash D12, but that doesn't mean that they're not racist in real life. That means that they only barely tolerate the presence of D12 out of their adoration for Em.

People aren't that simple and they tend to do highly confusing, inconsistent things all the time.

I still don't get how you can generalize eminem fans.
maybe you mean 65% of the international ones could be racist, but the american ones arent. If anything, certain americans fans are racist to d12 for siding with a white boy. and we know they arent the white fans.

so which fans in which countries are you referring to?

No lie, I was like :what: when I saw a Youtube comment on 2Pac's "No More Pain" that read "this is the only rap song that I like". It's one of Pac's best, but that had to be the only rap song that poster has ever heard. There's better Pac songs than that. I'm sure many would have songs on Disc 1 alone of AEOM over "No More Pain".

It don't really get 2 much better than no more pain bruh but...

Only god can judge me :lawd:

Actually every song on all eyez on me :lawd:

But how am I generalizing when we're specifically speaking about the fans that only listen to Eminem? And I'm only saying that if you isolate that exclusive segment of his fanbase, it's not hard to reach the conclusion that some of it is because of racism. I know that most people who are fans of Eminem aren't racist, but we're not talking about those fans.

We're also speaking about his fans anywhere, I never intended to bash Americans specifically and I don't see how you assumed that.

I must clarify that most people who are fans of Eminem are good people, not racist, and listen to other rappers too. However, for some of them, which is still a significant number of people, he's the only rapper they listen to and some of that is definitely due to him being white.

I distinctly remember seeing this exact sentiment openly admitted by some of his fanbase, how he's the only great rapper and how all the other rappers (read: black rappers who they'll never give a chance) are just "sex, money, drugs, violence, etc." I remember seeing this more than a few times and getting angry about it, and other people have noticed it too. I remember being angry because Eminem talks about the same shyt DESPITE the songs he has that aren't about those topics, and because when Eminem does talk violent, misogynistic shyt, his fans excuse it as fiction. I'm aware he's been picketed, we all are. But he got way more of a pass than black rappers have, and I don't just mean boycotts I mean from listeners continuing to support him.

In terms of comments and attitudes toward rappers, don't tell me you don't see this? Black rapper makes a song about wanting to fukk women? "Ugh, disgusting... these rappers are all the same." Black rapper makes a song about slipping molly in a drink? "WTF? THIS IS WHY I HATE RAP. BOYCOTT HIM FOREVER" Eminem makes a song 10x more fukked up about women? "EMINEM IS THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE HE'S BETTER THAN THOSE OTHER RAPPERS, LOOK AT HOW LYRICAL HE IS WHEN HE RAPS ABOUT RAPING AND MURDERING WOMEN."
