Getting a cat they never interact with and calling it “independent” instead of neglected.

Refusing to train their cat even the basics—scratching furniture, biting, knocking things over—then blaming “cat nature.”

Ignoring how their unspayed outdoor cat just made five more strays

Thinking it’s “quirky” when their cat bullies guests, hisses at kids, or attacks people’s ankles.

In my experience, most pet owners are irresponsble. Owning a cat is pretty hands off, so less consequences to being irresponsible.

You're sorely mistaken. Dogs are a monolith. Look at the Bichon Frise and the Goldendoodle. All dogs are a mixture of these 2.
