Is it me or are the crowds more into the NXT matches

I know NXT fans are also Indy fan base so you have those ROH/ECW environments but im rewatching takeover Toronto and the crowd is HOT for every match so far

Then you tune into RAW were they dead as hell for the cruiserweights

So I can't make the pure wrestling less entertainment argument

Are the NXT WWE fan base that different ? Keep in mind I just recently got back into the WWE

Its because NXT isn't touched by Vince, its HHH's baby from what is known. Smackdown and RAW still have to go through Vince's OK before acted upon, thus making weird and bad bookings.

Nxt is like WWEs ring of honor triple doing a great job wish they let him do the same with the main shows ...once Vince die steph will probably take his place tho

The NXT crowd probably has more neckbeards whereas the WWE crowd has more parents and children.

I thought the takeover crowd was obnoxious as usual. They took pointless chanting to a whole new level last night. Then again that seems to the be the case everytime I tune into NXT so it's probably the norm.

True, but at least the booking, while maybe not perfect, is still purely wrestling booking.

So they have a right to have fun, and enjoy a decent night.

This is definitely not just you, NXT has a totally different energy and vibe and its been like that for a minute. This is because

1. The NXT product has been better and more organic than the main shows for years. NXT writers build up the roster/stories correctly on a weekly basis, so viewers are far more invested in these characters and matches than they usually would be for something on the main roster, because the booking and writing on the main roster is usually atrocious. Plus NXT sees a plethora of world-renowned talent like Nakamura, Joe, Roode, etc. If you're a serious wrestling fan, its hard to not get excited over seeing those guys in a WWE ring
2. The NXT crowds are different than the ones who attend WWE PPV's and Raw/SD's. They're still WWE fans, but they're mostly hardcore wrestling fans who would shell out money to go watch a developmental brand full of relatively unknown indie/WWE PC-bred talent, and who likely keep up with wrestling news on the internet and the Network. Meanwhile at the main shows, you get a hodgepodge of hardcore fans, families, kids, casual fans, etc.
3. And finally, NXT is just less forced, less corporate, less glam and glitz and less BS. The shows are more fun, everything is built up in a compelling way, and its a wrestling show through-in and throughout

a "this is awesome" chant broke out as soon as the bell rang! they didn't even start the match yet! they were just staring at each other!


it's gotten to the point where they sing along to the entrance themes! even ones without lyrics! they actually sing the fukkin melody like 10-15 minutes into the match!

Only time this was cool was when The Shield faced off with the Wyatts on Raw years back Back when all six of those guys weren't fukked over by booking.
