Cac says something; about to lose team on his dying breath. John Kerry says something about Israel they're trying to get him out. Those are the two prominent and current examples but this mess is an American issue. Like the Chik Fe Le :yeshrug: (however it is spelled) owner got an issue for saying he doesn't support gay marriage. My thing is I cannot stand phony people and this new wave of conduct is causing people to be phony. I can respect a cac who has an issue with me being simply black and is blatant about it versus being some snake for the sake of not getting a backlash for being human. Because with that I can choose whether to fukk with someone or not.

As a black man, I talk way more shyt about cacs, latinos (I say spic because they say nikka :yeshrug: ), asians and whoever just for amusement because I know they talk shyt in the privacy of their homes. It is the American way.

What Sterling said was more than an opinion - that shyt was downright hateful and degrading to not only the players and coaches but to the majority of the Clip fans. I don't mind if someone doesn't agree with a certain point of view. I actually respect people who aren't afraid to speak out. But their is a huge difference between having an opinion and hate speech.

You can have your own opinions... just know that sometimes there are consequences for voicing them... and if it can effect someones money in any way, it may get ya ass fired.....
I never mentioned anything about voicing those sentiments in a workplace. Not because it is the right thing to do but because it can distracting. That was the reason they threw the hammer down on DS because if they let it linger, it would be distraction and start fukking up NBA team owners and stakeholders' money and livelihood.

Philly. Fucc a Eagle. I mean dat.
once you got that kinda power, its just shyt you cant say without expecting consequences. you aint an average Joe Schmo from the block where you can say whatever you please and call it "just having an opinion". it comes with that position of power. it is what it is.

I can respect that but damn...it is a huge tradeoff for being rich or wealthy because you cannot shake being human.

I'm seeing more and more the the difference between having a bigoted attitude and economic racism. In Sterlings case he has a documented history of attempts to disrupt the lives of other races financially, mainly through discriminatory housing practices. The owner of Chick-Fil-A donated to organizations that opposed gay marriage. Once that line is crossed all bets are off.

Still at the end of the day you can say whatever you want until you face the consequences. Like Mike Tyson said 'everybody has an opinion, until they get punched in the face'

I listened and it wasn't hate speech just what he views blacks and "minorities" as or he wouldn't bought an NBA team in '81. He probably thought of black people as tools but hate is the extreme that Mississippi Burning was about.

I feel the exact opposite. Once you become a public figure your privacy is a thing of the past. Accept that or stay out of the light.

Exactly but I am talking about respect. He one feels that then it is up us to decide if we go into business with that person or not.
