Is It Possible For Me To Learn The Saxophone From Home Via Youtube Videos?

Suppose I buy a saxophone, would it be possible for me to learn to play it just by watching youtube tutorial videos?

Yes if you keep at it. Learn the basic cords and then try playing songs by ear.

Saxophone and violin are two of the hardest instruments I’ve ever attempted to play. You will most definitely need a teacher unless you’re naturally gifted

do you know how to read music? Music theory is important starting out. Then learn your scales.

Do you know how to read music? If so, it makes learning a new instrument 10x easier. I was able to learn a few songs in about 3 months on a piano because I played the flute for about 7 years so I just needed to get my fingering right.

I’m not sure about a good saxophone but I would assume the most important thing is to get good, high quality reeds.

I maybe should start there, I have a piano app on my phone that teaches notes.
