is it possible for the main roster crowds to be as interested in the product as NXT crowds?

At this point it's embarrassing.

NXT put on a great show, after I just made the thread about not being interested in the product anymore. But watching that show, was every bit as entertaining as their previous ppvs. They're just doing something right.

Vince and the majority of his cronies need to step aside and let HHH and his ppl take over on CERTAIN aspects of the product. Or find some level of cooperation. I thought SD was at least headed in the right direction, and maybe they are with a little time.

Its different types of crowds breh. Vince not aiming for that type of crowd, they still get they ass lit up by certain ones like Chicago/Philly/Brooklyn. SS was just too damn long.

I expect the crowd to be wired tonight.

You say that but its the same NXT crowd IN the main shows who hi jack it and make it about themselves.

If its good enough the crowd gets behind it, this is proven. Charlotte and Sasha are actually MORE over on the main roster than ever. Orton, as much as the NXT crowd hates him was over as hell leading to last night, and AJ Styles is over everywhere on earth.

The main crowd cares if its good, its the NXT/smark crowd who goes into business for themselves if they want to get themselves over.

Like, the Orton / Del Rio match on SD last week...that was a great match. If they had that match the night after mania or a smarky crowd, they shyt all over it because theyre not supposed to like orton or del rio.

BTW

The middle of that NXT card was bad. the NWJ / ares match was like a C- at best. The Ember Moon match was not good. The bobby roode match was 100% entrance and exit...it wasnt good. The Revival / gargano champa match was amazing, and the main event impressed me especially for a match being held down by Samoa joe.

Sure if the story is there. MITB '11 had an amazing crowd due to the circumstances and home cooking. No program from SS had a story nearly as good as Bayley/Asuka, Joe/Nak or even NWJ/Aries for that matter.

They debuted a title with 2 world class guys going at it, but nothing ever sizzled before their match.... Like how does that happen?

I don't buy that.

First of all, not everyone was there in the pre-show.

But even if the crowd got there at 6(central), that's still only a 4hr show. That's not too long. Crowd was already dead not even 2 hours into the real show.

WM 30/31 were long shows too.

The bigger issue was match order.

The NXT arena is small, so the fans being more vocal is easily heard. I know both shows this weekend were in Barclay's, but the NXT show isn't 6 hours long. I have no idea why they have such a hard-on for having these long events when the crowd basically dies after the second hour. Haven't they learned their lesson with RAW being three hours & how the last hour always just falls flat?

Nah it was a similar crowd for NXT and SS, but fat smarks would never boo NXT because it's not cool to do, but for a main show they go wild

Only thing I can watch for that long is CFB my man and that's just 12 times out the year but the stakes much higher. Ain't no way I could sit through 5-6 hours of wrestling at an event its hard another watching 3 hour Raw's these days trust if I was posting in this thread i'd probably would've tapped out after that Ziggler stinker I just wanted to see if Lesnar was gonna do a job on the way out. The UFC can do that because the fights keep moving and can end at any moment I don't mind watching a 3/4 hour UFC card especially ones like the other night the WWE be doing way too much since they got the network shyt felt like a Super Bowl when in reality it was more like a week 6 in the NFL just completely overhyped and botched booking/formatting

So.

Every event alot of fans get there really early.

They came alive more for Nikki Bella than anything in the later part of the card. The chanted during Rollins match. So they weren't dead. Just bored from lackluster show.

If you go to a live RAW, you're gonna be there for at LEAST 3 and a half hours of match time with dark matches.

Nikki's a star and she came back from serious injury he pop was deserved. Crowd died 3 minutes later after the match got going though. Post AJ/Cena there was nothing the crowd could get into ringwork wise outside of Balor/Rollins the scheduling of the matches really killed the crowd and I don't blame them. Was that 5 minute Jon Stewart promo really necessary? The New Day/Club match was a snoozer i'm beyond over New Day I wanna see them drop the belts to someone who need them. Ziggler and Ambrose might as well have been a fukking Purdue vs Illinois Noon ESPNU game as flat as that match was then you give us a 6 women tag which wasn't even needed for the PPV. They could've left Miz/Crews off the card too if the purpose was to make Crews look like a chump could've just saved that for TV Tuesday.

and that was the match I was very much looking forward to.

They built it up so well. Don't know why it wound up being trash

They styles don't mesh at all I can't remember anything interesting them cats have pulled off in ring together. Ziggler wasn't a threat to win which made match even more boring he was obviously just used as a filler feud they been better off having this show early on in the night but everyone would've cried about Smackdown getting buried.

The Ziggler-Ambrose match was better than I expected. I liked seeing some heel mannerisms from Ambrose but the ending was poorly done.
