Is It Possible That Today’s Rap Fans Disrespect Old School Rappers Because

It wuznt really a line I wuz drawing I lumped everybody into the same category and gave everybody blame from old to young....I'm actually NOT drawing lines in the sand as this thread is on a bash young kids tip,I'm sayin old nikkas do it too...just keep in mind its possible to at one point be big nationally and then 10 yrs later if your lucky u can go right back to only being important to the region u started in.

So if its okay for older heads to not respect certain legends becuz they were seen as "regional"....what's the crime of a young kid not respectin a old rapper who in this kids time is unimortant and nobody in his region cares about that rapper now?my thing is its just as ignorant on a older heads part to write off a "regional legends" music as regional just bcuz it may have been irrelevant on the national level at the time,what's the excuse for not educating ourselves now on those people who are looked at as legends even if its just by their region?how is it different then the young nikka sayin a old rappers music is irrelvant to him now when it is,and him saying that the old music is not for him which it really ain't.

Older heads give theyself the same exact passes and use the same excuses young nikkas do for being ignorant far as I can tell...its bad all the way around....what more proof do I need than that "is t.I,jeezy,lil wayne legends" thread....u had old heads in there across the board being just as dismissive as I've seen any young nikka be on this board about old rappers,and none of them can say they wuznt around to see the impact of those 3 like the young dude can say...shows the lack of respect people have for legends not deemed they own right there....u shoulda seen the way nikkas wuz just dismissin fukin T.I,Wayne and Jeezy on sum bum shyt

U see it all comes togetherall ages got enough ignorance and closedmindedness to go around,and maybe that's the way its just gon be and we should stop makin a big deal out of it,hiphop is closedminded,hiphops fas are regional bias,maybe we should stop fightin it and just accept that shyt...hiphop ain't like rock and rnb where we gotta respect old nikkas,its not like any other genre so maybe the rules should be allowed to be on sum other shyt

Don't confuse criticism with close-mindedness...the prime of Hip Hop passed and the music industry has had a firm grip ever since. Nothing wrong with enjoying the product now but U must open your view finders and see the light!!

You shouldn't force yaself to like nuthing but by going into everything u listen to ready to hate it,that's not showing open mindedness or allowing u to give fair criticism that will help anything or open anybodys eyes to see shyt...blind hate leads to blind stanning...not talking about u in particular cuz I don't know if u do that or not..but no doubt I feel u,sum of this shyt is just too for me to give a fair listen to,"is this nikka wearin a dress"

as far as that wayne/jeezy/tip thread is concerned, im in that.

to sum it up, i think theyre legends but lower-tier legends. and i agree with what @Rakim Allah is saying. dont confuse criticism with close-mindedness.
