Or at least plea down.

I got a homeboy who’s in the military. They charged him but haven’t filed charges yet. The military talking bout he did it and bout to hit him with that Article 15, even without a police report :gucci:they viewing is guilty until proven innocent.

He said his lawyer is tryna play the military angle, and go to the DA/prosecutor. Try and work something out before charges are even filed. He finished his classes already.

Does breh stand a chance:lupe:he told me in them classes that Nikkas with priors said they worked out something, plead to obstruction of Highway.

He has no priors and he in the military. I’d think he stand a better chance. But idk:ld:

I don't know how the military is going to treat him.
His lawyer can meet up with the district attorney's office before the case is heard in court and try to make a plea deal (that's what they are getting paid to do). Can they work something out? Something can always be proposed. Doesn't mean the DA's office will approve of it.
Was he moving when he got pulled over? Could try to lower to a moving violation.
There are other factors. Was he in an accident with another vehicle? I doubt a plea deal would happen.
What was his BAC? If it was around 0.08 or was it very high?
What was his attitude during the traffic stop? If he was a total jerk, that won't help.

Got him for speeding. Was polite thru it all.

He said his BAC was slightly over the limit.

He told me this lawyer he got is adamant about getting it dropped altogether:manny:but who knows.

I just a needa can check myself before I’m in the same boat:wow:

I got a speeding ticket and went to court to get it lowered. That didn't happen, but some military dude was there, some speeding ticket. Mine was 55 in a 35. His was 110 in a 65. He was with his superior, sergeant dude, to vouch for his character. It wasn't going to be something to get him discharged, but would be a problem because his license would be suspended and he was a driver. Some transportation unit, so the clamps were on his balls.

Telli him to contact jag for legal reasons, someone he trusts. If he knows no one in jag.

Tell him to take 2 hours and call every jag defense lawyer in phonebook/internet of your area. He just needs to find one that’ll delay the military procedures.

That’ll hold him over for 6 months.

Simutaneously contact a civilian lawyer to plead down.

If your boy wants to stay in the military he needs to sacrifice luxuries and pay legal fees for 3 months.

If not, he should just leave voluntarily

If he drinks and drives he deserves the Kamala Harris prosecution treatment.
