I have a few views of the opposite gender that I suppose I should shake. But I'm not sure how to go about it. How should I attempt to not be sexist?

Depends on the views.
If you think that all women should be barefoot in the kitchen, naked when you come home from work with her ass up in the air, and should only speak when spoken to, yea I think it's worth the effort to make some changes.
But if you just believe in traditional gender roles, like a man is supposed to change the flat tire and shyt, then I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

I think women should be modest and non-defiant for no reason. I do think men should lead and also provide. Were it up to me my girl wouldn't have to work and would only focus on her clothing line and tend the homestead. That's wrong though right?

I agree with this. In my belief there are two sides to the whole both are good at different things and compliment each other.

This is some pretty controlling shyt, and girls recognize it as such, even though it's worded as well-meaning. It's the equivalent of capping someone in the knees so they can't escape. We talk about #GMB this and #HOH that, but there's plenty of women who married trifling dudes and gave up their careers and shyt and are now completely at the mercy of their ain't shyt husbands. What led to all these thoughts, man? Bad relationship?
Gender roles, imo, are incredibly stupid and limiting, and harmful for all involved, who'd prefer not to live like they are in the 1950's, in terms of dating, marriage, etc etc.....Obviously there are some biological differences, but men and women are essentially the exact same. Socialization, (religion playing a substantial role) and gender roles have basically beaten many women into submission, into accepting, embracing their fate. Of course, some, perhaps many women want to be mothers and housewifes and whatever, and that's fine...but enforcing these archaic roles (ironically while many men complain about dating and spending money on women) across the entire gender is really patently foolish and self defeating for everyone. I don't think men realize the way they are inherently trained to treat women contributes greatly to this gender conflict/divide.....It didn't start, in any way, with books like 'Men Are From Mars...." but that mindset is a very unhealthy contributor to the entire ordeal.

I hear you but I think women should be non-defiant for a very good reason.
That reason being, she stands to lose more than I do if she pisses me off and I leave.
