A lot of people don't know how to ask questions when it comes to studies and just kind of see 'study' or 'research' written down and use it as a stamp of validation.Because the white lady morphs into a Karen after a few years of marriage.
Seriously though it probably seems that way because bm/ww has a larger sample size. The more marriages, the more divorces. Although lately I have been seeing so many bw with wm, it’s crazy. So maybe the percentages will even out in the next few decades.
The factors behind the breakdown of a marriage or relationship are multifaceted. But peoples attention spans are short and they want a fast and easy answer that seems to make sense to them.
A foreign born/second gen black woman may stay longer in a mixed relationship if shes not able to read the microagressions that white people exhibit.
The couple could be highly religious and have met in the same church so even if they hate each other, they'll keep up appearances.
The couple could have been in the same tax bracket and divorce is a costly undertaking.
They could have children and want to wait until the kids are done college before formally splitting up.
So many factors are in play that could account for that, and it may not be represented in the one study that is cited. Moreover, the study would have to be reproducible to meet standards of scientific rigor. Many of these relationship studies findings aren't reproduced successfully by other researchers.
