Is it worth it to pay for the certificate of free course?

Coli brehs, I don't usually don't post here but I was wondering if it was worth it to pay for a certificate of a free course that is given at the top schools like Harvard.

For example

The course is free but the certificate after completion is $99.

What do you think?

Might want to google for more info but my guess is no. My (uneducated) understanding is that recruiters only look at online courses as signs that you have a go-getter mentality but it isn't what they base their hiring off of so listing it vs an 'official' certificate won't make a difference. I think leveraging your skills w/ a real-life project learned from a course is more relevant and that only makes sense if you get the eyes of the actual company instead of just a recruiter.
