Yes, he is a good NFL quarterback. He can make all the throws, his arm better than average, his pocket presence has improved from his rookie year. Now he does have a tendency to make funky decisions with the ball under pressure and he's not much of an athlete. But he is a good QB, just not 6 year/100 million dollar contract good and certainly not worth trading a 1st rounder.

IMO, his stats look top 5 but he doesn't pass the eye test.

Good? Meh. Great? Hell no.

There's a reason why the Redskins are hesitant to give him a big contract. He doesn't step up in key games and he's had trouble being effective in the redzone for years.

I'm curious to see how he'll do this year with 2 of his top receivers gone and his OC gone.

Cousins benefited from a pretty well built offense over the last 2 years. You could have put any average QB behind center and they would put up some great numbers too.

I agree, he's not as good as his stats, but he's still good, just not elite.

I think he wants about 25 million or so. I'm just not sure he won't tank it if he gets that much money.

Honestly I think they intentionally sabotaged the offense this year to make it so that he wouldn't put up big numbers and they could sign him for a much lower amount. :skip: It was the first time in NFL history that a team let go of their top 2 1000-yard receivers. I can see maybe letting one go but BOTH of them?

I understand that too DJax and Garcon are great receivers as well as Jordan Matthews and the former two are gone. I still think he is good but this year will tell i suppose.

@mrken12 Cousins could still put up some good numbers next season, he might even be better in the redzone throwing fades to Pryor & Doctson (assuming he stays healthy) instead of Garcon and Jackson. We'll just have to wait and see.
