he has the lowest clutch % out of all the superstars

cant even remember the last time he made a game winner

the last 2 or 3 min in a game he's very up n down

what do you guys think , is he actually clutch or is it a myth
People only seem to remember the makes and that works in Kobe's favor because he gets 10 times as many opportunities as anyone else. He has missed so many though :blessed:

36 out of 156 in the regular season in the final 24 seconds and the shot will tie or go ahead. A 23% conversion rate. I believe that the league average is around 35%. He's 7 of 28 in the playoffs for 25% with his last make being in 2008. He doesn't pass the ball in crunch time either. In one 4 year stretch he had 56 shot attempts in the clutch compared to 1 assist. Unreliable in crunch time. Loves to take contested fadeaway mid range jumpers, if not longer.

Pretty sure that one assist was an airball that got tipped in by Gasol.

Are you thinking game 6 in 2010 against Oklahoma city or game 5 against Phoenix that year with Ron? Both in the playoffs and they were counted as misses. The 56 shots and 1 assist was the regular season.

I would say myth is a stretch, overrated is more appropriate.:manny: Probably unfair to boil down "clutch" to just the final 24 seconds too. I'd be interested to see what his overall 4qtr/OT stats are.:patrice:

More crunch time. It's generally defined as the last 5 minutes of regulation or overtime when the score is within 5. The laker offense since his rookie year average around 108 points per 100 possessions, best in the league. In crunch time, they average around 80, among the worst in the league.
