I'll repeat again: I'm down for a holistic approach. Yes we should deport gang members and people ACTUALLY committing felons (zero tolerance). What ICE is doing is a drag net which is a giant waste of money and opens up the US government to getting sued. This literally another example of the Trump administration not understanding that policies and implementation of policies are not black and white.
Also this will stain the nation and erode police perception and the nation for many people. I'm advocating for people who are in this grey area to get their day in court and actually have a judge give them a fair trial without fear that it is a giant trap. I'm advocating for a smart approach to this and not Noemi and Trump trying to embarrass and trample the rights of Latino citizens and legal residents. This is a whole sale racism plain and simple. There is simply no need for these raids to happen in the manner they are happening
