What a terrible post, unoriginal ass trolls. Mega is poetic, I like Mega but he's not better than Nas. Mega isn't even better than Trag lyrically or prime Prodigy IMO, so how is he better than Nas who is unarguably the best MC to ever come out of QB. Lyrical miracle Canibus isn't a better lyricist than Nas, K-Rino is amazing though from what I've seen he's a pretty regional underground dude so I don't have a proper grasp of his catalog.

Sleep is the cousin of death is a great line that's been flipped several times by other MC's, Lupe is also one of the biggest Nas stans on the planet. Lupe has better wordplay, I feel like Nas is overall the better lyricist. Y'all talking about Lupe having songs like Failure, Lupe the Killer, Theme Music to Drive-by like Nas didn't tell stories backwards in Rewind, rap in the perspective of a gun in I Gave You Power, and wrote arguably the most prolific album ever lyrically in Illmatic.

Lupe is nice AF, one of the best ever I just feel like Nas has higher highs and he's just done it longer, while also being the main dude that fathered his style.

Yes. Lupe can do everything Nas can do as far as storytelling and concept songs, but Nas doesn't have a song like Failure, Lupe The Killer, or Theme Music To A Drive By in his catalogue.

You're comparing apples and oranges. I never said those songs are necessarily better than any particular Nas song, just that Nas can't make that kind of song. That multi-level slick wordplay has never been his strong suit.

Again, Lupe is capable of making equally creative concept songs (shyt, The Cool saga is probably the most creative shyt ever done by a mainstream rapper considering it spanned multiple mix tapes and albums). For every Rewind and I Gave You Power, Lupe has a Mean and Vicious, Handcuffs, All Black Everything, Switch, Daydream, The Cool, Gotta Eat, etc.

But Nas doesn't have a Form Follows Function or Much More.
