Im an old school Star Wars nerd. Mandalorian is a culture. They don't really worship any deities, just follow codes of honor and culture. Don't have to be born into it either.

Y'all should see the original lightsaber battle, that was cut from ROTS, that had Hayden sparring against Nick Gillard, the stunt coordinator, who they cast as the Jedi Battlemaster, Cin Drallag, in that brief scene where Yoda and Obi-Wan watching the vid in the temple after Order 66. This would have been so dope to show how Anakin/Vader was just toying with Obi-Wan and only lost because he was over-confident.

To answer the OP's question. It's a religion and a culture. If they all starting procreating, then it would be a race. Assuming they even could.
And before someone gets stupid, because of the other thread. Mandalorians are made of a variety of alien species. If they all started procreating with each other, you'd definitely have a new species of life with all the genetic combinations.
