2.5 years. I bought the ring on black friday . On Sat her uncle was celebrating his 70th bday at her grandmother's house. So I proposed there. I didn't even plan to really. I still had it in my coat pocket, had a few drinks and just thought "why not?" and did it there. I get along really good with her fam so it was all good. We about to close on a new place by January so it just made sense.
