While white folk said he was too black

When he had Michelle by his side and the fact that she was %100 black, dark skinned and intelligent solidified that he was black to both black and white people at the time of him running for presidency.

If he remained the same yet married a white woman or non-black woman would he had won?

it also helped that he was well spoken. never once appeared nervous in his interviews. things like that matter.

Not many black people I knew we're checking for him at first until Michelle spoke up for him. He probably owes getting elected to her. She gave him credibility with most black folks.

I'd mention too that his GOP opposition wasn't that dynamic. Hardcore conservatives have always had mixed emotions about McCain. Palin being a walking breathing SNL skit didn't help any. Mitt Romney was also not necessarily a Conservative darling, and in addition was viewed suspiciously due to being a Mormon.
