I was thinking about this shyt today

My example is Nas says ether is the shyt that makes your soul burn slow

But in reality ether as described by the Ancient Greek philosophers was inhaled from the universe and contained a substance called pneuma which was the life essence of man

So somebody tell me what Nas was talking about or just give me examples of smart dumb shyt he has said

Nas calls himself a "verbal assassin", ether is an odorless liquid that's highly combustible, basically undetectable. I believe it was a play on words, like he's the "ether" fumes and was gonna kill Jay-Z "lyrically" undetected, and then torture his soul by "scorching" or roasting him. I'm guessing he meant like he's an assassin and he was gonna creep up on his soul for overkill in a metaphysical form.

...Nas is very epistemology oriented, you have to remember he never had formal education, which may or may not be a good thing.
I wouldn't call him a smart dumb nikka, he's just more intuitive, researchers like Dewey would've loved to sit down with Nas. Which is why he has a Harvard fellowship.

I get what your saying but honestly it doesn't make sense to me. Yea ether is combustible but it's primary use was as a painkiller. In the 18th century white people use to have ether parties because doing ether was like doing weed.

Also you can't smell the ether gas but the liquid it's coming from you can, so that shyt still has a scent
