Is Nicki Minaj underrated as a rapper?

I'm listening to some her recent songs and she actually has some nice bars, better than some rappers. The only difference I see is that she's a woman.

Underrated? No, ppl have given her props since her Monster verse.

She has nice lil one liners and alot of sexual references. Great vocal performance and deliver but as far as the craftmanship of her verses, there's alot left to be desied.

Her one liners are good. Sure she writes about sexual stuff, but other rappers writer about guns and killing, so why shouldn't that mean she can't be a good rapper? I agree her verse composition is basic but next to someone like Rick Ross, Nicki's overall lyricism is better. I don't even understand half of what Ross is talking about half the time.

She isn't living up to her potential. She's an above average rapper and for a female has elite rapper potential.


She could drop a classic but she seems to busy being sexy and stacking pop music paper.

I was thinking about it and Boosie is right when he says these women are realer, more trustworthy and better representatives than most of these dudes out here.
