I never understood the appeal of that "regular guy" rap shyt.
To some music is sorta like an escape, I wanna be entertained not end up more stressed for the sake of relatability.
If I have bills piling and marriage stresses and shyt like that, the last thing I wanna do is listen to the same shyt in music.
Probably why I could never get into LB, Murs, J. Cole, etc.
But hey, I can't knock people who do like it.

Idk, sometimes knowing other people go through the shyt you do helps you get through it. A pseudo solidarity of sorts.

Phonte is not only the most relatable but the BEST of all time. Rap too easy for him that he hate it cause its not a challenge and he moved on to singing. Smh wasting all that glorious rap talent.
