its just hype. dont get me wrong the runtz is fire but so are many, many other strains.
Also a lot of nikkas arent really smoking runtz. Runtz + mylar bag packaging hype is running rampant. A lot of nikkas in midwest/south getting "runtz" in fancy packaging but it's just some other shyt

Runtz are overrated. That, or I probably just never had real Runtz. Tried pink, white, rainbow, black Runtz, etc. They all felt the same. Zkittlez, Runtz, Gelato are all the same high to me. I'm a sativa guy so the "well balanced" highs bore me.
