Is Project Scorpio a Next Generation console?

Look at the Scorpio as 1.5 version of their respective console more as a way to combat the PC and be more powerful than PS4. They felt the OG version was a little rush and underpowered. Now they're trying make up for it in a last ditch effort to their spot back.

I don't feel like getting a new console again to play the latest games

I just gotta Xbox One 2 years ago. Just keep it as it is for at least another 5 years.

Consider it a next generation console and the last generation be forward compatible for some time.
