I’ve been thinking about buying a condo in another state and rent it out, but still need more research if that’s a good option

Can’t afford to buy one in nyc :mjcry:

I had no choice but to buy or I'd be unable to qualify for a decent rental soon enough w/ prices steadily increasing.

yall goof ass nikkas dont get it...EVERYONE is renting...even after you've paid off a home, you still dont own it (property tax/HOA's) make sure of that...the only upside to a mortgage is equity but dont get it twisted, i see foreclosures pop up all the time in my neighborhood ,nothing is guaranteed.

People keep regurtiating this talking point. Property taxes pay to ensure that the road you use to drive your kids to school, is properly paved. The school is typically funded by the very same property taxes.

Without property taxes, you would have to pave your own road, maintain your own watermain, bring your garbage to the landfill on your own, and a bunch of other shyt. And if you make it that no one has to ever pay property taxes ever again you still run into a conundrum of having to pay for those services through other means, which would ultimately result in a tax.

Property taxes aren’t rent 😂

Rent = $2,000 per month.

Property taxes = $250 a month.
