Updating the engine and taking the gameplay back to its roots is do able...last of us did it perfectly....real question is does capcom want to do it? Gears of Resident Evil is not something I will pay money to play thats for sure

I think RE4 is what the next game should be like honestly, or else just end the series. I mean if I wanted Max Payne I would buy it.

Youd think with the zombie craze as hot as its ever been capcom would be all about showing them whos king of the survival horror shyt. Even a complete reboot of the series im down with they have prob told everything possible to tell with Jill, Chris etc. They should start over make RE1 again, hell start the game out showing how everybody ended up in the mansion and go from there.

I thought res5 was an excellent game, especially with co-op. Res6 on the other hand was garbage.
Though my favorite zombie game this gen hands down was Left 4 Dead.

Hell do a game with claire and a new virus! they already said they working on the next title and going back too its roots and using less people too make the game this time around
