Is Richmond, California really that bad?

Richmond is where master P got his game from, then he went to new orleans and made it pop and blew tha whole south up
tha south owes part of they hip hop reign to Richmond Cali
Richmond is also where tha term "hater" or "player hater" came from
rapper Philthy Phil wuz reffering to tha police as player haters, now its worldwide
Richmond wuz one of tha few areas in tha bay that offered housing for blacks coming from tha South in tha mid 1900s (great migration to California)
in the 2000's Richmond saw another influx of nikkaz from New Orleans to unincorporated North Richmond..... they started to call it tha Noya (a combination of north richmond and new orleans)
to answer your question yes, Richmond is one of tha grimiest hoods in tha bay area, its mostly industrial area and tha Chevron refinery is close by, tha refinery employed a lot of Richmond residents, so when it closed, a lot of jobs went with it, also tha refinery caused a lot of air pollution for tha residents living there, tha same ol story of urban decay and neglect
i remember being younger and hearin stories, my pops coworker wuz at a stoplight in richmond and while he wuz at tha light some nikkaz came up to tha car and jacked tha rims and tires off his car, while tha nikka wuz sitting in it....

I caught the bus thru North Richmond one day it looked like i was in louisiana, I used to talk to a few Chicks From Richmond tho they got Dymes but a lot them Girls be getting Gorilla Pimped few make it out outta da RICH!

What made you ask about Richmond? Just curious....When you mention Richmond most cats think Virginia.
Small area where you have a lotta crime, stretched PD, fvcked up school system, no outlets for the youngins, unemployment...
Average hood USA basically. A smaller Oakland with damn near just a much crime dependin if its a full moon.
i love knowing about places in the USA and world and Richmond came to mind. im always checking up how cities and countries are. i was looking at the country of Madagascar just now for instance
Cali interests me esp San Francisco and Richmond seems close and I heard its a dump so i was just getting some info from real people not stats online

Lost a potna I played ball with back in 96. He got shot right in front of the bookstore at Contra Costa College(JC). Right in broad daylight right when everybody and they mama be out there right before classes start.
A lotta shootings on I80 between Richmond pkwy and Cutting blvd. Don't know what it is but that freeway strip is deadly.

Fvckin with some cats in a dice game breakin em in the wrong part of town from what I remember. Ran into one of my boys who I ain't seen in yeeeeears, at the car wash. We was just talkin about this sh1t. He said chris was claimin north when he wasn't from there and he had robbed one them cats.
But yeah the sh1t was on the front of the west county times, they was callin it an act of urban terrorism....all bad.

they kinda fell off, central and south tha ones doing damage tha last decade
i think narf nikkaz or noya like they call 'em now just got too hopped up off that white, thats when they fell off..
