He's only a simp to dudes who don't understand what a simp is. He's more like a "happy wife, happy life" type of dude but because he's Black, rich and athletic, cats just don't understand why he chose that life over being a player or acting like an Alpha male while married. "Simp" can honestly mean anything these days and it all depends on your perspective.
I think Will Smith fits the definition far more than Russell though as someone mentioned above. Will Smith is a literal cuck who ruined his whole career over his wife. That to me is simping in the truest sense.
I see Russell as more of just a decent dude making the best of his relationship and making sure things are stable and in order. And he's not insecure about Ciara's dating history.
As for the inverse of a simp, I'd say Chris Brown or Leonardo DiCaprio.
