Is SAP good to learn to break into the IT field?

Right now the job I’m working for they use SAP for a lot of order entry for the business. Is this a good system to get a certification for in the IT world?

Short answer: yes.

If you're into supply chain/logistics, odds are you will interface with SAP at some point. Being able to understand how SAP logs data, moving that data to data lakes, reporting... You will make beaucoup bucks.
