Is "Savage" Becoming the New "Nikka"?

Is black people referring to themselves as "savages" becoming the new way black folks are degrading ourselves and keeping ourselves at the bottom of the totem pole image and reputation wise?

I'm hearing this word more and more mainly because of rap music which will spread it faster to the masses and make it "cool". Even Rihanna is calling herself a "savage".

Heard a young dude the other day in the store pass me talking on the phone saying "you know we some savages outchea!!!"

He said it in a joking way but still.

"Savage" is probably the most fitting word to describe an uncivilized, barbaric individual.

How low will we continue to set the bar yall

I don't hear anyone with substance and dignity calling themselves no savage. It's usually the young bulls and the entertainers calling themselves that. Grown men and women are not on that kiddy shyt, basically.

People are beginning to openly find pride and esteem in treating others poorly and seeking to be praised by others for their willingness to harm others emotionally, physically or otherwise...

It's more an extention/the next stage of "not giving a fukk"....than it has anything to do with the history of "nikka"

The root of it is fear....we live in a very fearful time and nobody wants to be on the losing or suffering end. "Savagery" is a defensive mechanism for the weak and suffering....a modern day suit of armor

I think the reality of everything and the sheer amount of information we have at this point is pushing a lot of folks to act out with blatant ignorance....

It also garners the most "attention" and in a world with this much technology .... a lot of folks are starting to feel invisible ....or are fearing that imo
