Is saying "Afro-American hair is hard to manage" a form of self-hate/c00nery?

Not necessarily... it depends on why they're saying it. If they're saying it because it is difficult to bring in line with Eurocentric standards of beauty, or to satisfy the aesthetics of a White supremacist culture (e.g. in the job market), then it is c00nery if they're not also challenging those standards and systems.

It all depends on how people express their opinion. For example, if they say ''curly/kinky hair is hard to manage but I love that texture'' then that's fine. But if they say ''kinky hair is hard to manage. No one likes that hair.. people just faking,'' then that's c00nery to the nth degree :snoop:

No my hair is hard to manage. I knots so i can"t comb or brush it.If i use the wrong product it will get super dry and unmanageable but it looks great and I love big hair , plus it has helped my hair grow to a nice length.

:dahell: But it IS rather objectively more effort intensive

Forget women's hair for a sec; white dudes can go months without a haircut and it can be a style; If some of you nikkas got stranded and rescued on some Castaway shyt and saw your hairline after 5 months, you'd have a meltdown
it would look like this

It's not hard to manage. Its only hard when you try to "manage" it like straight hair.

It requires a different way of management and styling than the "norm".
All of this. It only takes me 8~10 minutes to twist my hair and untwist it out into a decent Afro. It seems like its harder to manage relaxed hair. I want my brothers and sisters to go back to that 60s and 70s look of rocking their natural texture haired, may it be curly or nappy. :mjcry:

Shiiit, no need to lie. I shave baldies on principle and I'm a dude. After that first half inch of fro grows, one comb/pick through can have me throwing bows.
