I live in Oakland and the vibe in some parts of SF can be “questionable”. But I have no problems dating. I think this is mainly due to my job (software engineer) and maybe my looks. I don’t get the feeling black guys get any sort of bonus for being black. If anything it’s slightly harder.

I can see brehs in lower paying jobs doing much, much worse. SF is very competitive in every aspect. If you ain’t bringing your A game you will be in for a rude experience

P.S. I also have dreads. That probably helps too. Point is, being a “regular” breh definitely won’t cut it here. And that’s a shame because regular white guys do extremely well in SF
