Sportsmanship is only important for young brehs. When you young, the goal of playing sports are also to instill some type of values in kids/young adults.

But when you're grown and playing professional sports, sportsmanship is not important. fukk shaking hands. fukk how your opponent feels. This is real life. Some people win and some people lose. And it ain't no sense of faking like you like or respect some mothafukkas if you don't. Sportsmanship in professional sports is only necessary if you want to set an example for young kids who may be watching. But it's your parents/youth coaches responsibility to instill that in you, not professional athletes.

it's more important to be professional at the amateur level and not at the professional level :jbhmm: that makes a lot of sense :troll:
Sportsmanship isn't about liking your opponents, it's about the game. You respect your court, pitch, field whatever and it will respect you. You can showboat and have fun but still be a good sport, being sportsmanlike doesn't mean being some boring kiss up
a lot of you don't really play sports so it makes sense why you don't understand sportsmanship :yeshrug:

When you play on the professional level, it's almost like a brotherhood even if you're opponents. Aside from the god given talent, you know how much hard work is required to make it to that level. There's a mutual respect among athletes for that reason.

So even if you lose, you know you lost to someone who works their ass off at their craft. If you take an L, you can't do nothing but dap em up and get better.

Kind of off topic, but earlier, I was thinking how simping & being a jerk to your lady and a basketball game go hand in hand.

The goal in a relationship is for it to be positive.

The goal of a basketball game is to win.

You simp your girl so much and you think you got it in the bag, so you turn off the simping.

Just like in basketball, you are up by a lot of points, and you think you got the win, so you take out your starters.

You got your bench players in and they start fukkin up and the lead has been cut in half. You have to send your starters back out there to secure the win.

You start acting like a jerk and your lady starts acting cold towards you and she goes into the bedroom and puts on her ex-boyfriend's class ring from high school. You have to start simping again to keep her from straying off to other men.

You should always honor your opponent. Playing sports is a way for men to channel their competitiveness in a productive and fun way. You win some and you lose some, but you always honor your opponent for engaging in a competitive environment with you.

Its really genuine. If you play good competition (both teams/players are trying their hardest) you should congratulate each other whether win or lose. Even in a blow out.

don't mind it among players after a tough 20-17 OT game

when it comes to fans however and you win on the other team field, i don't mind seeing a nikka going up to one of those loud mouth fans teasing they ass
