Comedians are the only ones remaining in this overly political correctness age who can say something about a controversial topic, wrap it up in a joke, but still make you think....and ultimately laugh at the absurdity of whatever the topic is.

People on the news can't say anything, celebrities can't really say anything, even rappers are muzzled at this point.

Comedians are delusional as all hell if they think outside of entertainment freedom of speech is truly under attack.

If it were, in theory then

Hebrew Isrealites wouldn't be the internet celebs they are known for.

besides, the day I see comedian come to bat for a non-entertainer when their rights are truly enfrigned upon, I'll tune in, in reailty cac's gonna cac.

It's pretty much like in the days of monarchy when the court jester was the only one who was really able to speak the truth because nobody took him seriously.

Comedians offer social commentary, not exactly political ideology.
Although their ideology can come through their social commentary.

I think comedy is the only place left for self expression without much p*ssy as criticism. They speak their minds more. A lot of gems get dropped in comedy. Bill Burr, Patrice O'Neal, George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, and Even Corey Holcomb at times. I respect it more than political speeches honestly. :manny:

upping this random ass thread after I saw this. (South Park has touched the same subject on their new episodes too)

tbh, CQ might just be my top5 favorite comedian ever.
