The old adage about Sticks and Stones is really something we need to start adopting into how we move as men. That macho man/foolish pride shyt we been taught by elder idiots ain’t it.
What an oxymoron
"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" is not the best adage to use for the argument. If the goal is to get people to move away from being a macho man, acknowledging why certain words are hurtful is the first step not denying that the words actually hurt.
There's a degree of amusement in not seeing the above contradiction when you acknowledge that 1) It is is an old adage and 2) the macho man shyt was taught by elders. It should have set off alarm bells.
