Is the 3ds XL worth it?

I'm thinking about getting one for the new pokemon that just dropped but don't I don't want to spend 300 if that's the only game I'm gonna play on it. So brehs is there any others games that makes thr 3ds XL worth buying?

I was thinking about doing the same, I've seen the difference and the 3dxl is pretty nice.


I literally can get a reg old 3ds for like 50 bucks and save 150-199....

I'm sorta in the same boat as OP. I was VERY close to buying the 3ds but I don't know. The Switch comes out in a couple of months. I'm going to wait for that instead. Going to be playing pokemon on an emulator in the meantime.

Definitely don't get it for $300 look around the internet for $150, that's how much it was when I bought it for my brother last Christmas.

But the graphics are definitely better, the controls are easy to use and the screen is bigger. I think it's worth it if you get it for the right price.

I got the Goosebumps, Adventure Time, and Super Mario Bros games to come with it; my little brother loved it
Almost had to fight him though, he wouldn't let me play the Goosebumps game for 5 minutes

Copped the "new" 3DS XL a couple weeks ago randomly. Real spontaneous.
Still have a PS3 and I got this instead of upgrading my console and I ain't mad at the choice.

For my personal situation, it's much easier to just pickup the handheld instead of the entire TV entertainment rig. Great toilet entertainment.

I got Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and a brain game just for shyts. I'm also a guy who has NEVER played Zelda though.

Just wait for the switch at this point. The new 3ds was on sale for $100 and is great. I wouldn't pay $300 for a ds at this point.
