there are a ton of ways to rock natural hair now, not everything comes back en masse. both sexes are rocking their hair grown out in a natural state in a variety of styles, also, the increased prevalence of locs as the "pro black" style has been a thing since the 90's. times and tastes change, it doesn't mean that something else was bad, it's just been replaced with something more versatile and less time consuming (anyone with boomer black parents who rocked fros are very aware of the time spent properly grooming and caring for it)And yet it's nowhere to be found. Nobody rocking afros anymore.
