I was getting a cut today realizing I've been dealing with the same barber for over 10 years. In fact we worked together at a dead end job 11 years ago and he left their to go to barber school to become a barber. I've followed him to two different barber shops and now he owns his own shop. I realized I showed the same loyalty to barbers before him I didn't know outside the shop. The barbershop is a staple in the community like the church but less controversial.
Then I remember how a lot of cats are loyal to their barber, do you follow your barber to different shops? Its the one thing I never shop around for a better deal at. I could find a cheaper barber who can give me an equal or possibly better cut and probably closer but I stick with my barber. They don't run sales and specials unless it's not established, no coupons, apps to save $, you don't see a bunch of advertising since most of it is thru word of mouth, people don't come in there trying for the hook up, the price they charge is what they pay. Imagine that same loyalty to a black bank, black grocery store etc.
