Is the East officially better than the West?

42 wins was enough to get in the playoffs last year in the West. And 3 teams got in with 42 wins or less.

In the East, 44 was the bar.

Knicks, Bucks, Magic, Wizards all improved, or didn't decline.

Not to mention Cavs, Toronto, Hawks, Pacers, Celtics all improved, either thru added experience of added players
