Is the LA nightlife considered top notch?

Ive never partied in LA/Hollywood and im interested to know where it stands. IMO cities ive been to like New Orleans and Miami shyt on anything else ive never hit Vegas though is LA even close to top party cities?

I heard last call at clubs is 2am and i heard most bars, clubs and lounges are spread out so bar hoping is hard.


Please school me on LA nightlife for daps.

LA is considered to be much more 'top notch' then San Diego, more women, more money, more glamour, more stars,, more clubs, more drugs, more events....more people in general, it's a 'bigger deal' to party in LA, then San Diego. I'm from down there, not LA, never really been to clubs in up there, but everyone I know generally has. I do know a lot of people from LA, or a fair amount, that come down here to party, because LA can be a fukking hassle, especially the higher end places, prices, and exclusivity can rise to deranged levels.
