Is the Last of us 3, a prequel that takes place right after Joel’s daughter gets killed really on the horizon?

Or you could link the tweet my dude

I would actually like some closure on the hanging thread from TLOU2 (the firefly base on Catalina Island) but I doubt that will ever come.

That’s the only case I would want to play a fully open world TLOU. Being able to traverse the mountains and hills like Death stranding without the balancing and extra stuff.

Catalina island would be cool for outdoor exploration, and minor urban exploration. That kind of environment might end up devolving into a bunch of back and forth fetch quests though.

I’m torn about what location I would be excited for. I place like Catalina island with a familiar cast, or a dense fully urban place like New Orleans with a new and unknown cast.

I agree, but that’s the only way I can see a place like Catalina island being fun.

It’s big enough to explore and wander, but there isn’t enough there to be on the rails like the first TLOU; not even for the open arenas in the second one. It’s a lot of dry brush desert hills, wide open trails, a random soccer field, a very small air strip, and two small dock towns.

I really wouldn’t mind a densely packed, metro done like a combination of TLOU 1&2. New Orleans, Philly, Baltimore, DC and NYC would
