Before moving my thread, I'd just like to ask you all how you feel about this idea. After I see the consensus, I'll edit my reply.
In its excessive coverage of mass shootings, celebrity suicides, or drug induced rampages, do you feel that the media causes copycat crimes to happen? Take the bath salt craze, for instance. Do you feel that the mere coverage was responsible for any of those crimes?
Can we say that constant coverage of a school shooter is glorification? When they covered Seung-Hui Cho, were they making him immortal? A role model or goal for future deranged individuals?
