This is wrong. There is still a racially defined economic class ladder with H1b, except blacks have no jobs at all, instead of low end jobs with chance for upward mobility (with education_. Black people with jobs and a chance for better in Ohio and Michigan is better than black people without jobs and no chance at all because of Asians, Indians and Hispanics in California.
When I go to clients in california, sometimes I won't even interact with white people at all.
For example, this a small SEC start-up registrant and American company. The controller is Korean, all her staff and seniors are Asian of different variety, the SEC manager is dark skin Filipino lady. The SOX consultant team is entirely Filipino (senior manager, manager and senior auditor). These are people that I interact with daily.
Another one of my clients is a large biotech firm. 50% of the engineers are Asian or Indian. The production Vice President is Indian, the CIO is Indian. The internal auditor is Chinese. The SEC reporting manager is Chinese and so are her staff and seniors. The revenue manager is Asian and so are her staff and seniors. the director of finance is Asian. The AR manager is chinese, the tax manager is Chinese. The accounting manager is Mexican.
When I was out in ohio and Detroit, almost everyone at the client was white. Nice people, but it was a big change for me. There black people tha worked in the distribution warehouse and the janitors were black (some were also white) and that was it. I went to two different companies and it was the same.
The economic ladder and its racial makeup is very different out here.
