People said 90's rap was just talking and hated the way they used samples of classic music
Motown was considered the "radio/white friendly" version of Stax
and don't even get me started how Jazz music wasn't given its props during its greatest eras

The older millennials yes but the younger ones were the first to stop caring about talent.
Those were all different genres. This generation didn't even start their own , they stayed with rap so our opinion of it isn't some outsider shyt. it's more like Chuck Berry saying some grunge rock band is killing rock and roll. and they did actually.
Its all a matter of taste
Some people sing Jay-Z praises, not me
Some people think Chief Keef revolutionized the game and the sound, I find it laughable and absurd
