I havent heard a real street mixtape from a DJ in a long time. Is there a mixtape DJ still putting out quality "mixtapes". Last guy with a run I remember was Big Mike.

It's too easy to access music now for people needing to run out and get mixtapes. Essentially soundcloud, blogs, and streaming pushed them all out. No reason to struggle through a DJ Kay slay yelling tag or 1000 gun shots just to hear a remix to something.

Now as far as REALLY mixing, those will never die. Just instead of on cassettes you can go to @DANJ! soundcloud.

i say we stop complaining, and be the solution.

the coli members should drop mixtapes every month or so.

compile tracks you think deserve to be heard and spin em.

if i did a monthly tape series, it would be fuego - but im no dj.
