Both totally wrong. Before the revolutionary war white and red relations where pretty good. They coexisted in relative peace, they traded amongst each other. Helped each with agricultural secrets. White folks even sold black folks to native Americans as slaves. When it came time for war the native Americans sided with the British, and fought and killed the colonists. When the war was over the British packed up and left, leaving no type of assistance for the natives. The remaining colonists had a deep hatred for the natives due to their actions in the war and they systematically made an effort to eradicate them from Amercia, they were looked at as traitors and savages for killing American citeizens.

Most of you dudes in here presenting your opinion don't have a real grasp on American history. The truth lies way beyond what you learn in school, or see on tv/movies.

Thats half the truth. There was some of that and also, they was encroachment. Also, something else that builds bad blood is them enslaving native americans on the east coast in early 1700. The picture you paint is enough to make native americans look like they were just trippin when in reality they were dealing with a growing demonic force.

Native Americans did NOT have a concept of "owning" land like Europeans did. What whites felt they needed was LAND. How on earth are Native Americans, absent of that concept, on the same page as them?

It isnt much different. They got along for a time. They got greedy, expanded into territory that was empty, and territory that had people there. They enslaved them and then were bitter after these people took sides against them and set out to take the rest of their land and exterminate them as a whole. Even the house negro NA's. Sad.

Both struggles were bad but, as a black man i happy that i still got my people wit me. Native Americans were damn near exterminated. We still got millions of African Americans Living in this country and 100s of Millions living in Africa. I see nikkas everyday, but the last time i saw an indian was when i was on an actual indian reservation 4 years ago when i drove to vegas through Arizona.
