2 different cars, imo, the new 7 series has leaned over towards being much more of a true sport luxury car, buy focusing moreso on the sport element. The S-Class is like the modern yet tradition flagship luxury car. Personally, I got my eye out on the resigned A8 before I consider these two.

The thing is BMW doesn't want to be the more sporty choice in the luxury flagship category. Because if they position themselves as that the S63 and S65 will win each and every time.

7 series has been a bloated mess since they sun-setted the E38.

If you want technology go with the 7. If you want luxury (which is what defines this category) get yourself a S550 (S600,S63,S65).

Better than the 760i. Closest we'll probably ever get to an M7. Still not a S63 or S65 though.

My next car will probably be a 18' M2 (M4 too bloated for a coupe) or a 18' M3. If I wasn't buying and didn't give a fukk about depreciation I'd go Mercedes in a heartbeat. The M division is not seeing AMG right now.
