It's literally dubstep bass which came from UK garage music mixed with a trap beat
No it’s not.

Ya gotta stop forcing that UK shyt. G Herbo fathered NY drill and the club shyt is Jersey and Philly influence.

G herbo don't make beats. I'm talking about the production, it's rooted in dub step mixed with down south American trap drum patterns. New York and Chicago have Zero influence on drill beats, now if you wanna talk about the content (rapping about doing hits with no bytches in the music videos) many attribute that 50 cent heat video as the start which inspired Kirk, Durk, and g herbo, but they were rapping on down south trap beats, not UK drill. Pop smoke made the UK sound popular

That garbage was never alive. And stop calling it drill when it sounds like some sort of weird hybrid of techno:scust:

Whites must have bought their influence in through the gentrification:francis:

ny/uk drill, dubstep, garage, jersey club music and techno come from from the same musical origin, which is ultimately house music.

In UK and ny drills case, those drum patterns actually come from footwork battle tracks which is like the b*stard grandchild of 90s ghetto house tracks. But a lot of people don't know this though.

Which is why it's so easy for the newer bx drill artists to incorporate jersey club music into drill because they have the same musical origin at the end of the day (unbeknownst to most of the artists.)
