Hmm, representation or lack thereof does equate to absence. The same could be said for any racial or ethnic group that's underrepresented in any area. It may have more to do with access, opportunity, and cultural norms of humor. I know some pretty funny women in my personal life, but they'll never be famous.

Its very true. I only know 3 genuinely funny women, & not in the "i wanna fukk you, so I'll laugh at your jokes" type of funny. & 2 of them happens to be my aunts

ive met some gems in my day. some were cute and funny, some were fat and funny. but all of the other women i have ever encountered that tried to say funny things or be funny have ruined it for everyone else. i havent ever hesitated to tell them "your a reason why people dont think women are funny"

Hmmm lemme see. Based on personal experience id say about 20% of the guys i know are genuinely funny. With women that number drops down to about 5% or so ?
