Is the "tamale lady/man" only a cali thing?

Always wondered if that was only a cali thing, or if other states had them too.

Definitely an AZ, New Mexico, and Texas thing too.

I imagine you can find one anywhere there's a heavy Mexican presence. Think I saw one in like Herndon, VA.

I'm used to seeing tacos, elote and helados (ice cream), tamales not so much. shyt be feeling like you gotta know somebody.

:hhh: Why does Cali always assume they the only ones with authentic Mexican culture? I always assumed, prolly because a paid a little attention in geography, that we have it about the same between there and Texas. We were both mexico at one point.

Mexicans bring their culture to wherever they are so I'd imagine any state with a large Mexican demo has them.

I'm just waiting for a NY'er to tell me they saw a pick up truck with a rooster painted on the side.
